Our History

The Swedberg Funeral Home orginally started at the local hardware store in downtown Webster back in the early 1920's. In 1931, the funeral home was moved to Highway 35 in the old Larabee house. During the 1970's, a new funeral home was built next to the old funeral home which was converted into a duplex. Ray and Lucille Swedberg lived in the lower level and Jack and Marge Swedberg in the upper level. In order to meet the needs of the community, the funeral home built on another addition in the 1980's. 

The funeral home was originally owned and operated by Ray Swedberg and Jack Swedberg. It was important to the Swedberg family to keep the funeral home family owned and operated. In 1993, the Swedberg's sold the funeral home to Pat Taylor, fulfilling their wish to keep the funeral home family owned and operated.The Swedberg-Taylor funeral home has been family owned and operated for over 85 years!
